What We Do

We Build The Infrastructure That Runs Underneath The Claim.

Kempron is an infrastructure company, not a consumer brand. Our work sits behind the insurer, inside processes the policyholder never encounters by name.

What follows is stated at a category level. It is complete as a description of our position in the market and deliberately incomplete as a description of our technology.

Position

Where We Sit

  • Automation infrastructure for motor claims. Systems that carry a claim through its operational stages with less manual handling than the current process requires.
  • Sold to insurers. Our counterparty is a property and casualty insurer or a claims organisation acting for one. We have no consumer product and no consumer relationship.
  • Built for regulated environments. Designed from the outset for a market where claims handling is supervised, auditable and subject to provincial, state and federal obligations, and where privacy and data residency are contractual matters rather than aspirations.
  • Deployed with the insurer, not around it. We integrate with the insurer's existing claims operation and its established service relationships. We are not asking anyone to replace a core claims platform in order to work with us.
  • Canadian and United States markets. Incorporated and headquartered in Ontario, designed for both markets from the start because the cost and regulatory dynamics run across the border.

Principles

Commitments We Hold To

These are statements about conduct. They can be published without describing the system they govern.

  • The insurer keeps control of the claim. Automation that removes an insurer's visibility of its own file is a liability, not an improvement. The decision rights stay where the regulatory accountability sits.
  • Evidence beats reconstruction. Facts captured accurately at the point they occur are worth more than facts assembled afterwards from the accounts of interested parties.
  • Auditability is not optional. If a step cannot be explained after the fact to a regulator, an ombudsman or a court, it does not belong in a claims process.
  • The existing network is an asset. Insurers have spent decades building service relationships. An infrastructure vendor that requires those to be torn up has misunderstood the problem.
  • We do not publish what we have not done. Kempron makes no performance claims. When we have results that have been independently verified and that a counterparty has agreed we may publish, we will publish those and say who verified them.

Why this page is short. Everything above would be true of a dozen companies. That is the intent, not an oversight. The specifics of what we build are the only asset we hold that a larger competitor cannot buy, and they are shared under a mutual non-disclosure agreement rather than published. The reasoning is set out at length in the FAQ.

Boundaries

What We Are Not

  • Not an insurer, a broker, an adjuster, a loss assessor or a repairer. We hold no insurance licence.
  • Not a claims management company acting for claimants.
  • Not a consumer application, a comparison site or a lead generator.
  • Not a core claims platform vendor, and not a replacement for one.
  • Not an operator in any market outside Canada and the United States.
